MIAMI, FLORIDA 1976
The eighth annual session was observed July 23-25, 1976 and was hosted by the South Florida Branch, Mrs. Patience Champion Mitchell, host president. Ramada Inn-Airport and Mt. Hermon A.M.E. Church, Rev. George M. Champion, Pastor, served as host sites. The family got an early start Saturday morning for a picnic at T. Y. Park. The banquet was a rousing success in the evening. Some of the ladies were beautifully attired in dresses commemorating the Country's 200th birthday! The family worshipped on Sunday with the Mt. Hermon A.M.E. Church. A delicious dinner was served by the members of the church in the annex. Dr. and Mrs. Byron Mitchell hosted a poolside farewell party Sunday evening. Some of the family continued their celebration Monday with a Freeport Bahamas cruise.
