ATLANTA, GEORGIA 2003
The newly organized Metro-Atlanta Branch hosted the thirty-fifth Family Reunion, Mrs. Patience Champion Mitchell, Organizing President. The headquarter hotel was the Sheraton-Buckhead in Atlanta. The Friday night business meeting and dinner was held at Saint Phillips AME Church on Candler Road, Decatur. On Saturday morning, a wonderful breakfast of Southern Fish & Grits with down-home biscuits was served prior to the picnic at Stone Mountain Park. The banquet was held on Saturday evening at the at the fabulous Sheraton Hotel. Sunday morning worship was held at the St. Philips AME Church with Rev. Keith Ellison delivering a memorable message of encouragement through the fire. The Reunion culminated at the George Moore Center with Sunday dinner.
