NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA, 2017 The National Reunion Support Committee (NRSC) planned and coordinated the 49th annual reunion and did a fantastic job. The Friday Night business meeting and authentic Cajun dinner were held at the Pontiff Golden Age Center (with game truck for the kids of course!), followed by refreshments and games at the hotel Game Room at the host hotel - Marriott Metairie. Then on Saturday we enjoyed an awesome cook out at La Freniere Park which had a carousel, snack stand, lake, water sprinklers, several play areas, and walking trails for your enjoyment. That night, Family pictures were be taken in front of the grand ballroom, followed by our banquet and dancing. We then enjoyed our DJ and more games that night in the Game room. Sunday, we worshiped with Union Bethel AME Church in New Orleans and our very own Rev. Ann Champiion Shaw brought a mighty word! Our Chaplain Elder Mark Marcus and his wife (and our sweet cuz) Inola conducted a beautiful memorial service after our side-splitting dinner. The church's food ministry was able to feed the homeless with all the food. To God be the glory!
