CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA 2023 - We were blessed to gather in historic Charleston, SC as we celebrated Ancestral Blessings. The Friday night business meeting was held at the Golden Coral, as we met new family members, learned more about family we thought we knew, and ate til our hearts were content. We then gathered at the Hampton Inn for an evening to good music, hilarious games, serious card-affairs, and delicious baked goods provided by "Auntie" Patience of Auntie's Baked Goodies. The next morning, we arose early to meet the sunrise and give honor to all those who went on before us at Sullivan Island, then a tour of the Gullah culture. Later that evening, we held our All White Gala at Royal Missionary Baptist Church, where our chaplain Elder Mark Marcus led us in tribute to those who have gone on to rest with the Lord, and the royal blue court of "best dressed" and family of the year Dale and Angela Stills were presented before we enjoyed delicious cuisine and fun dancing the night away. Sunday morning, we returned to Royal Baptist to enjoy a stirring sermon before leaving with fond memories and the promise of seeing one another again.
